Amazon has laid off employees in its music department. A spokesperson for Amazon confirmed on November 8th local time that the company has started cutting positions in the music department, the latest of several rounds of layoffs in the past year. Last month, Amazon announced the closure of the audio social app Amp, which has only been in operation for 18 months.
