The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW), representing 33000 Boeing employees on the West Coast of the United States, stated that the association has planned to hold a mediation dialogue with the Federal Mediation Service (FMCS) early next week, with the participation of unions and Boeing. The statement stated that this meeting is a crucial step, and the union will discuss issues that its members consider crucial to reaching an agreement during the meeting. In addition, FMCS previously stated in a statement that it will convene IAMAW and Boeing to meet with federal mediators. FMCS stated that the agency has contacted both parties to support their return to the negotiating table.
